Transport strategy from Innovate UK

Innovate UK has launched UK Transport Vision 2050, “an in-depth study that sets out what the UK transport system may look like in 2050 and outlines the likely steps along the way to achieving this”. The document predicts that, by 2050, UK transport’s consumption of petroleum products will fall by over 90%, while 90% of motorway HGVs will be fully autonomous, among other ambitions.
