Support the UKCCA: Holiday Park and Campsite Visitor Survey 2026

24, April 2026

Ask your holiday park guests to take part in the UKCCA's visitor survey and help demonstrate the value of the sector

The UK Caravan and Camping Alliance (UKCCA), comprising of four industry organisations (NCC, HARPA, the Camping and Caravanning Club and the Caravan and Motorhome Club) is inviting holiday parks and campsites to support a new nationwide visitor survey (www.surveymonkey.com/r/NCC-26) designed to highlight the economic contribution of the sector across the UK.

By encouraging guests to complete the short online survey, you’ll be helping to build a clearer picture of how parks and campsites contribute to tourism, jobs, and regional growth. Visitor responses will help provide important insights into guest behaviour, visitor spending, and the wider economic impact of the sector.

Why the research matters

This is the third time this study has been undertaken and it will build on the findings of the influential Pitching the Value report 2024, which showed the significant contribution made by the UK holiday park and campsite sector. The updated research will help support engagement with government at both national and local level, particularly at a time when important policy decisions are being made that affect tourism and holiday park/campsite businesses. A strong response will help ensure the sector is represented by robust, up-to-date evidence.

Who should take part

The UKCCA are keen to hear from a wide range of visitors staying at holiday parks and campsites this summer, including:
•    caravan and lodge owners
•    touring caravan visitors
•    motorhome and campervan holidaymakers
•    guests staying in other accommodation
•    visitors on short breaks or longer holidays

Three ways to promote the visitor survey

We recognise this is a busy time of year for parks, so there are several simple ways to encourage participation.

1. Display survey posters around your park

Download these posters featuring a QR code linked to the survey and place them in visible locations such as:

  • reception areas
  • noticeboards
  • bars
  • club spaces

You may also wish to place a poster in holiday caravans and lodges on changeover days to encourage more responses.

2. Promote the prize draw

Visitors who complete the survey can choose to enter a prize draw to win:

  • a 4-night camping holiday
  • a 3-night glamping break

Further prizes will be announced. Full terms and conditions are available at: UKCCA Visitor Survey Terms and Conditions. All information provided will remain confidential, and contact details will not be retained by UKCCA or shared with third parties, in line with GDPR requirements.

3. Share the survey in e-newsletters and owner communications

Template text is available here for use in:

  • customer email communications
  • owner news websites
  • information portals

You can use this text as provided or adapt it for your own communication channels.

What happens next?

We will be asking for further support from park operators soon to help us with the second part of this important research: the park owner and operator survey.
