In memory of David Latham, co-Founder of Bilbo’s Motorhomes

It is with great sadness we share that David Latham, co-founder and owner of Bilbo’s Motorhomes, passed away peacefully on 27 December 2025 at the age of 76, surrounded by family.

David was a true pioneer in the UK campervan industry. Since founding Bilbo’s in 1977 with his wife Moira, he helped shape the company into one of the UK’s most respected motorcaravan manufacturers, known for quality, innovation, and customer care. His leadership and values influenced not only Bilbo’s but the wider leisure travel community.

David will be remembered for his integrity, generosity, and commitment to family and purpose. His legacy lives on through Bilbo’s continued dedication to building award-winning campervans.

His daughter Elesha paid tribute, saying: “Beyond the success of the business, Dad was a committed Christian man with unwavering faith, which shone in his daily life. He will be missed enormously, but leaves a legacy of respect, honesty, and ambition that will guide us moving forward. Bilbo’s will continue to develop and build its range of award-winning campervans in the knowledge that he would want nothing more than for the family to continue in his footsteps.”

Our thoughts are with David’s family, friends, and loved ones at this difficult time. Further details regarding tributes will be shared in due course.
