Grantham’s, a well-known Lincolnshire-based caravan and motorhome dealership and NCC member, has unveiled a state-of-the-art 12-bay workshop, marking a significant milestone in its 30-year history. The new facility, officially opened on April 29, 2025, represents the first phase of a larger development plan aimed at enhancing service capacity, improving customer experience, and supporting the leisure vehicle sector.
NCC team members showed their support for the business on the day. In attendance were Hannah Cole, NCC Training Academy Manager, and Reece Wigmore, Approved Workshops Scheme Manager, pictured either side of centre, along with Elliot Hibbs (right), Managing Director at Coachman Caravans, who cut the ceremonial red ribbon.
The workshop, part of the Approved Workshop Scheme and now fully operational, is designed to accommodate increased customer demand and enable faster turnaround times for servicing and repairs. It also serves as a training centre for aspiring NCC-certified technicians.
The expansion is led by directors Bob Evans, Rebecca Greenacre, and husband-and-wife team Paul and Lisa Connolly. Speaking at the launch event, Mr Connolly emphasised the importance of the development, saying: “This expansion represents a major step forward for us as a business and as a team. It’s about more than just increasing our capacity—it’s about investing in the future of the leisure industry and our community. We’re proud to be creating new jobs locally while continuing to raise the standard of service for our customers.”
Mr Hibbs praised the development. He said: “It’s fantastic to see such a key investment within the caravan and motorhome sector, which will provide enhanced services to customers and new job opportunities within the industry.”
Following the workshop, the company plans to construct a multi-purpose building to further improve customer experience. This future facility will include an indoor awning and accessory display area, a dedicated service reception, sales and office space, a café, and boardroom facilities for training and meetings. Additionally, a temporary indoor awning display has already been set up to give customers a preview of products and accessories.
Grantham’s expansion is expected to create new employment opportunities for technicians, administrative staff, and customer service roles.
