From today (27 January 2022), all measures under Plan B in England have been lifted “because of the success of the booster rollout”.
Regulations on face coverings and COVID Passes change as of now – read the press release here. In essence, face coverings are no longer mandatory in indoor venues in England, COVID Passes are now voluntary for large events and nightclubs, and people are no longer being advised to work from home.
Meanwhile, the Welsh Government has announced that people who test positive for Covid-19 will be able to leave self-isolation after 5 full days if they have consecutive negative lateral flow tests on days 5 and 6 of the isolation period – which brings Wales into line with changes in England and Scotland. This change will come into effect from 28 January, at the same time as Wales is expected to complete the move to alert level 0.
