The Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Expo in Harrogate will not take place next year. This, the organisers say, is “to enable the industry to focus on pressing priorities during a time of continuing uncertainty”.
The event is organised by the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire Caravan Manufacturers’ Association (HERCMA) and had been due to take place in September 2022 at the Great Yorkshire Showground.
However, HERCMA has “reluctantly decided it is most important for the industry to focus fully on addressing major opportunities and challenges, including the continuing need to increase production to meet unprecedented demand driven by the surge in staycations and to address ongoing supply chain pressures”.
HERCMA’s Chairman, Richard Jones, commented: “This is not a decision we have taken lightly, but we feel it is right that manufacturers are able to focus fully on these priority issues during as uncertain a time as we have ever experienced.”
