Government recognises the importance of apprenticeships for dealers
Published on 16/11/2012

The United Kingdom Commission for Education and Skills (UKCES) recently rejected an application to develop an Apprenticeship Framework for caravan workshops.

Following this, CITO (Caravan Industry Training Organisation) generated support across the nation, from sole traders to major workshops, all stating the value of apprenticeships as a major step in the professionalization of the caravan sector, and an essential tool in attracting quality young recruits into the industry. The overwhelming response convinced UKCES to reconsider and the funding was granted. The Apprenticeship will be ready for launch by the end of February 2013.
